The Theatre Royal Haymarket

Theatre Royal

The ghost of John Buckstone, who died in 1878, reputedly haunts the Theatre Royal Haymarket. In life he was an actor and manager at the theatre. The figure has been described as wearing "a beige coat and twill trousers".

His appearance is said to indicate a long run, and his apparition is also said to have appeared in front of a full house in 1964. A number of famous actors, including Sir Donald Sinden and Sir Patrick Stewart, have reported seeing the apparition.
